Book Girl Summer, New Book Release, Summer Events, and More!
There has been so much going on lately, that I haven’t really had time to write on my blog. Instead, I’ve been flitting around social media spreading the good word. If you aren’t signed up for my newsletter, you may want to consider doing that, because they are the first to receive news. The first and most important thing: Shownu read something I said in his chat out loud. I’ve died, was resurrected, then died again. I’m just a shell of a ghost typing to you now. Next item is actually in my title. My publisher has declared that it’s Book Girl Summer! What does that mean for you? Well,…

New Year, Stressed Out Me
While it is only February, this year can get lost. Seriously. My cat died, then my dog died. I finished writing a four book series and now I’m sitting here blankly. I have two other story ideas that I need to write out, but I am slightly fried, so I’m taking a break from writing and simply doing editing on my completed works. In the meantime, I’ve been doing a little reading. To my absolute surprise, after editing and writing, I am finding that I am incredibly selective on what I read. For the first time in a very long time I have DNF (did not finish) a book. I…

I’ve been living my best life, I hope you have too!
August has come and gone. The heat in Indiana is still oppressive, however, the mornings are cooler. It has made weekend soccer games much better at least. I realized the weather was changing this morning, and immediately sneezed so hard for so long, that I was sweating. Note to self: Pick up allergy medication ASAP (no rocky) This past weekend I was supposed to be at an event, however it got postponed. They pushed it out until next year. It’s okay though. I was feeling mighty sluggish, and didn’t really want to go anywhere. My next event is October where I will be in Monrovia, Indiana at their library’s author…

Going Through It
I’ve come back from my first convention as a writer. I will write about it a little later, as I have to get my thoughts in order. Since I’ve been back, I’ve been working on the e-commerce side of my website. It has been an absolute PAIN! I haven’t even input all the products yet. I’ve just been working on the shipping aspect. It’s taken me roughly a week to adjust everything to the way I want it. Please keep in mind that this is after I’ve dropped cash to actually get the shipping set up. Part of it is my fault, as I didn’t have all the information I…

It feels as if it has been one hundred years
I haven’t been around on this platform, and I apolgize. Life gets in the way. I post a ton on other social media, while somehow neglecting this. However, I am here, let’s chat. July 7th is Femme Audio takeover. What is this? Well, my friend Ruthie is both an author and audiobook narrator. Last year she came together with a bunch of other femme audiobook narrators and Authors. Together, the narrators recorded pieces of author’s books. Not full audiobooks mind you, but just snippets of books. The voices they were reading were femme presenting characters who were standing in their own power. They are doing the same thing this year!…

There is a Whole Lot More to Being an Author
They didn’t tell you everything mamas. As I sit here on my blessed quiet Sunday, I am thinking of all the things that have past and that are coming. My first book was released one month an eleven days ago. There was no stopping from there, I have to keep going. You see, by the end of 2023, I will have a total of four books out. Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. As of right now, I am speaking with my publisher on where we’re supposed to go from here. I have quite a few stories, both in this world and out of it written. It is just a matter…

The updates, the haps, the happenings!
So first things first, I had a cover reveal of my first book back in December. If you are part of my Discord, you had the opportunity to see the cover before anyone else:

My Lord, I’ve Hit a Wall
A Tale as Old as Time. I’ve been plugging along faithfully this whole time for the past two years. I’ve had no lack of ideas, or drive to write. It’s the only thing I’ve wanted to do most times. Even editing was coming along. The more I learned, the more I grew. I’ve gone back time and time again from beginning to end of the book, cleaning and tidying my words. Until yesterday. For those of you that don’t know (How you don’t know is beyond me), My debut novel, Fall: A Year of Change: A Silver Leaf novel, is slated for release February 1st. The story is written; it’s…

I Wake Up and Get to Live a Childhood Dream!
That is how this feels. I'm doing a lot of long winded things to get to the finish line, but quite frankly, I am nearly there. At the end will be this beautiful thing that I get to hold in my hands and tell everyone that I made it, I wrote it. I never thought I would be here in my life. It's to the point where I've even had a speaking gig, talking about what I did to get here. I wrote. That's all I truly did. I wrote my short behind off, and continue to do so, nearly every single day. Along with edits to this book, I…
